DANDRITE Retreat 2021

DANDRITE 2-day retreat for staff and students

Thursday 30 September - Friday 1 October
Venue: Scandig Bygholm Park, Horsens

This year's DANDRITE Retreat will be a 2-day event taking place from 30 September - 1 October.  

All DANDRITE students, technicians, PhD students, postdocs, affiliated researchers and team/group leaders are invited.

Morning transport to venue for DANDRITE staff & students

Invited speaker - Niels Glæsner

Niels Glæsner, Researcher and Consultant at DM will give a talk entitled: "What shapes the working lives of junior researchers at universities?"

A number of studies from international authors have put the well-being of PhD students and junior academics on the agenda at research institutions. Uncertain career prospects, high workloads and difficulties communicating with supervisors are factors that can influence the experiences of junior researchers. Based on data from DM’s well-being survey among PhD students, the presentation will give an overview of the extent of work-life issue among junior researchers and suggest strategies for individual, collective and institutional actions.
