NeuroCampus Aarhus

DANDRITE is part of NeuroCampus Aarhus - a crosscutting research network within neuroscience and cognition at Aarhus University (AU) and Aarhus University Hospital (AUH).

NCA is rooted in AU Health's interdisciplinary research network initiative. With the following strategic measures, NeuroCampus Aarhus aims to ensure:

  • That independent and high-quality research of the highest international standard leads to new insights and scientific breakthroughs in neuroscience.
  • That the research-based neuro-education programs are of the highest international standard and develop the research leaders of tomorrow.
  • That research-based government advisory services in neuroscience are provided at the highest international level and on an unbiased basis.
  • That the university's neuro-students, graduates, and researchers apply their knowledge and help shape the future society.
  • That collaboration across all neuro-disciplines contributes to international cooperation, global engagement, and the resolution of major societal challenges.
  • That collaboration within neuroscience, both internally and with external partners, fosters innovation in existing and newly established private and public enterprises.
  • That the university increasingly exchanges neuroscience talents and knowledge locally, nationally, and globally.
  • To be a national leader in science outreach to the public.
  • To be a strong influencer that can promote political awareness and agendas, thereby strengthening neuroscience research and ensuring the best treatment for patients with nervous system diseases.

Currently, the number of stakeholders exceeds more than 400 persons. The NCA Steering Committee consists of nine people from basic and clinical research.
