The brain moves into City Hall
From 6-20 October, our Arts & Science Exhibition will be at display into the beautiful entrance hall of Aarhus City Hall open to the public.
Art on the brain represents the researchers' own images of the brain's universe
The exhibition presents 12 unique works of art created by researchers who have been inspired by the brain's hidden universe. The works are visual interpretations of the brain's structures and functions – observations made through microscopes, 3D visualizations, dissections and behavioral studies.
Each artwork tells its own unique story and opens a window to the enigmatic and complex universe in our brains – a universe we as humans rarely get to experience. The researchers have transformed neurons, synapses and the brain's smallest building blocks into works of art that create a deeper understanding of both the brain and the science that explores it.
The exhibition invites us to see the brain in a new way – as a source of both knowledge and aesthetics, where science and art meet and merge. Through this unique fusion, we get the opportunity to see the brain in a new light and appreciate the beauty and complexity that lies in its inner landscapes.
The exhibition at City Hall will run from 6-20 October and is open to the public
