We are happy present the DANDRITE Annual Report 2021 covering DANDRITE's 9th year of operation. Find the report here.
On 24 October 2022, anyone with an interest in brain research will have a unique opportunity to meet Nobel Laureate Professor Edvard Moser who will visit Aarhus University and give a Nobel Laurate Talk on the brain’s inner GPS.
She will be continuing the work on discovering the regulation mechanism of the human flippase ATP8B1. From their previous results published in eLife, they suspect ATP8B1 activity to be regulated through phosphorylation. Through Cryo-EM and biochemical assays, they wish to further explore the effect of kinase mediated phosphorylation of the terminal regions of ATP8B1. She will additionally be working on establishing expression and purification of the orphan transporter SLC12A8 to enable structural and functional studies on the pursuit of identifying the substrate of the transporter.
Daniel Sejer Christensen will be working as the new laboratory assistant in the Membrane Laboratories, at Dept. Molecular Biology and Genetics. Daniel wrote his bachelor thesis in Nissen Group and will be working as laboratory assistant alongside his studies. He will be assisting with practical routine matters in the laboratories, such as preparing buffers and media, producing stock solutions, and filling up consumables in the laboratory.
An interview with the current DANEMO communications coordinator, Karen Bech-Pedersen and administrative program coordinator for DANEMO, Maria Thykær Jensen at DANDRITE, about the first years accomplishments and future outlook of the DANDRITE hosted, communication platform and research support initiative, DANEMO.
