Lab research is focused on understanding how animals make decisions and how population of neurons compute decision variables.
Mouse foraging decisions probabilistic environment
Human as well as animal’s decisions take place in uncertain habitats. How foraging agents make optimal decisions faced with probabilistic outcomes is a question that the project will address using mice as a model organism.
Behavioral assays, electrophysiology, optogenetics and computational models.
