DANDRITE Science & Art exhibition is growing
Following a successful tour through local libraries, a gymnasium, Aarhus University Hospital, and even City Hall, the DANDRITE Science & Art exhibition receives funding to grow — and will soon be relaunched with a range of new artworks at 'Forskningens Døgn', on 17-22 April 2026.
For the past year, our Science & Art exhibition has travelled through public spaces, inviting visitors to explore neuroscience through visual art. The exhibition was created to spark curiosity, open new conversations about the brain, and make our researchers’ work accessible to a wider audience. The public interest recently led the local TV station TvFri to produce a feature on the project — and we had an opportunity to share our perspectives on why everyone should be interested in this unique combination, and in neuroscience. Click the link, to see the feature.
We are now thrilled to share that the exhibition has received funding for an expansion from Forskningens Døgn. Over the coming months, new artworks will be added from fresh submissions by our researchers, and the renewed exhibition will be presented in an entirely new quality and scale — transforming the project into something far more ambitious and, we hope, becoming a key feature at this year’s Forskningens Døgn.
Our mission with the exhibition is to bring science closer to people, and people closer to science.
We look forward to presenting the new works at Forskningens Døgn, where everyone is invited.
