Welcome to new master student Daniel Sejer Christensen

Daniel Sejer Christensen is continuing as MSc student in Poul Nissen's group, where he aims to develop a method for using functionalized synthetic nanobodies (sybodies) for purification of native membrane proteins, such as SLC18B1, a vesicular polyamine transporter, and their interaction partners. This will be done by pairing the sybodies with magnetic beads which should then allow us to purify SLC18B1 directly from brain tissue, hopefully allowing us to isolate and study the proteins native interaction partners. Additionally we will also be working with BDNF expression in E. coli and see if we are able to refold it, to be used in further studies.
