Welcome back to Nikolaj Straarup as PhD student in Poul Nissen group
For Nikolaj’s PhD, he will be studying the plasma membrane Ca2+ ATPase (PMCA), focusing on its role in presynaptic calcium regulation.
He will investigate the autoinhibitory regulation of PMCA and its interaction with aSN using cryo-electron microscopy.
Additionally, he will be using cryo-electron tomography to visualize PMCA in its native context.
