See the photos: Inaugural reception for Per Höllsberg

There was crémant, canapés, and chatting in Vandrehallen as Health's new Vice Dean for Research was welcomed at an inauguration reception on Friday 2 February. See the photos from the event here.

Per Höllsberg assumed the position of vice-dean for Research on January 1, 2024, but after a month in work attire, it was time to dress up and welcome him at a festive yet informal welcome reception.

The new vice-dean returns to the faculty from a position as Head of Research and Education at NIDO | Centre for Research and Education at the Regional Hospital Gødstrup.

At Health, Per Höllsberg has served as a professor at the Department of Biomedicine and held the position as director of studies for the degree programme in medicine.

“You have returned to a faculty you know well – and we know you,” said Dean Anne-Mette Hvas as she opened the series of speeches at Friday's inauguration reception. She praised Per Höllsberg for his analytical approach, his responsiveness, and strong sense of justice – and not least for a tremendous effort in leading the overhaul of the study program in medicine.

“You keep busy as a vice-dean. You are not just some figurehead or master of ceremonies,” assured Lise Wogensen Bach, who as vice dean for education knows what she is talking about. She emphasized that you have go the extra mile in the job, but that it is all worth the effort when you see the fruits of your labour.

“If you can bring about major changes in the medical education, there is reason to believe that you can get most things through,” joked Jørgen Frøkiær, head of the Department of Clinical Medicine, in his speech. He pointed out that with Per Höllsberg's great talent for chess, it is no surprise that he is such a good strategic thinker.

Poul Nissen, vice-dean for research at NAT and researcher at the cross-faculty research centre Dandrite, took the opportunity to invite for even more collaboration at the intersection between the natural sciences and health sciences.

A happy Per Höllsberg thanked the speakers and emphasized how much he looks forward to getting started with the tasks.
