Researchers from DCE attending renal congress

Department of Clinical Epidemiology was well represented at the annual congress of the European Renal Association (ERA), which has just been held in Stockholm.

Eight researchers from DCE attended the 61st ERA congress held in Stockholm. This year’s theme was “Rethinking kidney health, transforming kidney care”. The following DCE researchers gave a presentation at the congress:

• Researcher Mette Kielsholm Thomsen: Living alone and prognosis in elderly patients with chronic kidney disease: a nationwide study from Denmark (oral presentation)

• Statistician Uffe Heide-Jørgensen: Initiation of SGLT2i vs GLP1-RA and incidence of AKI in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus (oral presentation)

• Postdoc Simon Kok Jensen: Temporal trends in chronic kidney disease and mortality after acute kidney injury (poster presentation)

• Scientific assistant Matilde Slot: Geographical variation in chronic kidney disease: a nationwide cohort study in Denmark (poster presentation*)

• Research year student Christian Goul Sørensen: Kidney outcomes after bariatric surgery: a population-based cohort study (poster presentation)

• Research year student Mads Skovsgaard Larsen: Predictors of post-operative acute kidney injury after colorectal cancer surgery (poster presentation)
