"I'm really looking forward to getting started. Both because I know that Health Studies Administration is a department full of very talented and competent employees, and because I’ll be working with several exciting subject areas that I'm looking forward to diving into," says Jeppe Stokholm about his new position.

The new Head of Studies Administration will take up his position on 1 September. However, for many people, Jeppe Stokholm is already a familiar face as he previously worked as an educational consultant at Health Studies Administration.

"I know that Health Studies Administration is a well-run organisation from my time working there. However, Health isn’t Arts, and it’s been about seven years since I last worked at Health Studies Administration. My priority will therefore be to get to know the employees, the organisational culture and the exciting new disciplines because I think it’s important to understand and respect the new environment I’ll be joining," says Jeppe Stokholm.

Important tasks await

Jeppe Stokholm sees AU and Health Studies Administration as important societal institutions and already has his eye on ways to improve and support the education area in the long term.

"During the 12 years I've worked at Aarhus University, I've been involved in both large and small-scale reorganisations, worked on several reforms and helped implement changes as a result of new financial circumstances. Changeability has been a fundamental condition and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change in the coming years. There are two big tasks ahead of us: the implementation of new study administration systems and the 1-year Master's degree programmes," says Jeppe Stokholm, and continues:

"One of my core tasks will be ensuring that the work carried out by Health Studies Administration is done under the framework of the university's strategic objectives within the field of education. We must support the shared ambition of developing degree programmes of a high international level, ensuring a good match when it comes to choosing a degree programme, increasing time on task and educating graduates for the labour market of the future. Health Studies Administration contributes to this by ensuring our core tasks are resolved to the highest standard. It’ll be exciting to leave my mark on these efforts as Head of Studies Administration.”

Returns to Health after several years at Arts

Jeppe Stockholm has a Master of Arts and PhD in History from AU. For the past 12 years he has worked as an adviser to the pro-rector for education, adviser to the school management team at the School of Culture and Society, and as an educational consultant at Health Studies Administration from 2012-2016.

His most recent position was as section manager at SNUK at Arts Studies Administration, where he and 30 employees were responsible for educational law, academic regulations, supporting boards and the implementation of Aarhus University's quality assurance policy.

Jeppe Stokholm is married to Anja, a pastor of the local church in Tranbjerg. They live in Åbyhøj with their two daughters, Lærke (19) and Amalie (16). In his spare time, the new Head of Studies Administration is an avid runner.

"Jeppe’s experience from Aarhus University, his passion for education and his strategic approach made him an obvious choice for Head of Studies Administration. His previous experience with education consultancy at Health Studies Administration, his desire to work closely with employees and his clear vision for the future of the educational area bodes well for Health's students and educational environments, and we look forward to welcoming him back,” says Lasse Munk Madsen, Administrative Centre Manager at Health.
