Congratulations to Valentina Khalil who begins as postdoc in Kitazawa group

Valentina Khalil is starting as postdoc in Kitazawa group on 1 September. In her Ph.D., Valentina characterized that the subcortical thalamus-amygdalar pathway is necessary for the processing of innately aversive and learned threats. Now, she is ready for a new challenge. In her Postdoc, Valentina will investigate the transcriptional changes and the epigenetics regulation that occurs after memory formation. She will use a multidisciplinary approach, where optogenetics/chemogenetics, fiber photometry, and behavioral testing with high-end epigenomics and genomics sequencing technologies will be combined.
