Congratulations to Mark Denham, who has had his Group Leader extension approved
The Executive Board of DANDRITE has approved the recommendations from the Assessment Committee to extend Mark’s appointment at DANDRITE and thus, Mark has obtained the full extension for 2022.
The Denham laboratory is interested in understanding how genetic variations can contribute to the risk of developing Parkinson's disease. In particular, they are studying GBA-associated Parkinson's disease, to identify novel genetic mutations that affect signalling pathways during disease states. The laboratory uses patient-specific neurons derived from induced pluripotent stem cells to examine these processes.
