Do you plan to submit a proposal for an ERC Starting Grant? Or do you have contact to someone who does?
The Research Support Office (RSO) at AU has organised a hands-on peer-to-peer workshop that will prepare you for applying to the ERC StG 2024 call with an expected deadline in October 2023. 

Target group: Researchers with an excellent track-record and a ground-breaking research idea from all faculties at Aarhus University are welcome. The workshop is not targeted at administrative employees. 
There will be a maximum of 50 participants.

Programme

  • 12.30 – 13.05: Introduction to ERC Starting Grant application and its key concepts by the Research Support Office (RSO)
  • 13.05 – 13.35: Presentation by an ERC StG grant holder from AU including Q&A. 
    The grant holder will share his/her experiences with the application process and provide advice for applicants.
  • 13.35 - 13.45: Break
  • 13.45- 16.30: Parallel pitch sessions (according to ERC evaluation panels: Physical Sciences and Engineering, Life Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities). 
    Participants will be asked to pitch their ERC project idea (4 minutes each). Participants will receive feedback (approx. 10 minutes) from other participants, AU ERC grantees and Research Advisors from the RSO.  All participants will be asked to participate in the feedback to each other’s pitches.
  • 16:30: End of the workshop.

Registration
Participants will receive detailed information on the pitch session after the registration deadline. Participants are expected to send their pitch to the RSO on a given deadline(template will be provided in the information material). 
The receipt of your pitch is an absolute prerequisite for admission to the workshop.
