During his PhD studies, Michael Tsz Fung Woo researched how the brain represented sequences efficiently. It is not clear which neurons we listen to when there are tremendous number of neurons in the brain. He studied how population of neurons represented sequences collaboratively and demonstrated how this festure facilitate the encoding of sequence.

The new research findings contribute to the understanding of how the information was represented in the brain in a geometry perspective.

The PhD study was completed in Duda Kvitsiani Lab, DANDRITE and Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University.

Congratulations Michael!
