New Research Year Student at Sun Lab

Please give a warm welcome to Mads Rahbæk, who will join Chao Sun's lab the following year. Mads is a dedicated medical student with an academic interest in cancer neuroscience, currently enrolled in a 1-year research program at Aarhus University, Dept. of Clinical Medicine. His work is focused on structural characterization of tumor to neuron synapses in human tumor-infiltrative brain tissue from patients with glioblastoma. By expanding tissue samples and using confocal microscopy, Mads will expand on structural connections between tumor cells and neurons unravelling intricate properties of human brain cancers. Mads is supported by a research scholarship funded by the Danish Cancer Society
