New PhD Student in Vanwalleghem Team

Sarah Bickel Flensburg is new PhD Student in Vanwalleghems Team. Sarah will collaborate with researchers from the University of Gothenburg to employ optical tweezers in the study of the mechanisms underlying the gut-brain axis in larval zebrafish. This research will involve precise control over the interaction between bacteria and the zebrafish's gut and neurons. Such precision will enable the testing of hypotheses concerning the causal relationships between bacteria, neuronal activation, and gut motility. Welcome Sarah!
