Nordic EMBL Partnership opens new NORPOD call
Three new projects combining a research stay at two Nordic nodes are now open for applications. Don’t miss this chance to develop a collaborative project under the supervision of two Nordic EMBL PIs at different sites. Deadline is 15 August 2025.

The NORPOD program—funded by NordForsk and part of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine—is now accepting applications for three exciting new postdoctoral projects. These cross-disciplinary projects are designed to foster cutting-edge research and collaboration across the Nordic region.
What is NORPOD?
NORPOD supports the next generation of scientists while advancing collaborative research in molecular medicine for improved human health. The program links the four Nordic EMBL nodes with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and its network across Europe, offering researchers access to world-class facilities and expertise.
The new projects align with the Partnership’s three cross-cutting research themes:
- Project #1: Uncovering convergent chromatin dysregulation in neurodevelopmental disorders with systematic phenotyping of in vitro neuron
- Host PI's:
- Helena Kilpinen, Group Leader, FIMM, Helsinki, Finland
- Thomas Kim, Group Leader, DANDRITE, Aarhus, Denmark
- Host PI's:
- Project #2: Genetic and adaptive dynamics of microbiome in colorectal cancer: How do microbes adapt to the hostile tumour environment? (ADAPT-MIC)
- Host PI's:
- Rafa Najumudeen, Group Leader, FIMM, Helsinki, Finland
- Chinmay Dwibedi, Group Leader, MIMS, Umea, Sweden
- Host PI's:
- Project #3: Sleep-driven maturation of interneurons and glia: Spatial profiling across postnatal development
- Host PI's:
- Charlotte Boccora, Group Leader, MCMBM, Oslo, Norway
- Thomas Kim, DANDRITE, Aarhus, Denmark
