New visiting researcher at DANDRITE

Juliane Martin will be working as a visiting researcher in Duda Kvitsiani’s group starting June 1 2015. She will be studying neural circuits subserving foraging decisions in mice by combining optogenetics with electrophysiology in freely behaving animals. In her studies, she will record specific cell-types from mouse prefrontal cortex as well as from subcortical structures directly involved in motor control. The collected data will be used to gain mechanistic insights into how information is processed in brain circuits while animals are engaged in reward foraging behaviors.
