Magnus Kjærgaard is Team Leader at DANDRITE and AIAS Cofund Junior Fellow at Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies. Magnus Kjærgaard is an expert in the use of single molecule fluorescence techniques and NMR spectroscopy. He will use these techniques to study the structural dynamics the intra-cellular domains of glutamate receptors and its associated signalling complexes. He is investigating how the physical association of biomolecules affects signalling pathways, and with his research he aims to contribute to our understanding of how these proteins are involved in learning and memory. Magnus Kjærgaard is the recipient of the Villum Fonden's Young Investigator Programme 2016 grant of 5 million DKK.
