New postdoc at DANDRITE

Joshua Sanders is appointed postdoctoral fellow in Duda Kvitsiani's group from 3 November 2014 after completing his PhD studies at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York. There, he developed assays and a computational framework to study decision confidence in humans and rodents, and produced several open source laboratory instruments for neuroscience research. His research in Kvitsiani lab will aim to identify the computational principles governing how humans and rodents gather limited resources from the environment, and investigate the neural circuit mechanisms underlying foraging decisions. These research aims will employ development of novel behavioral assays, electrophysiology and optogenetic manipulations in awake, behaving rodents and computational modeling.
