New PhD student at DANDRITE

Angela O’Sullivan appointed PhD student in Anne von Philipsborn’s group per 1 May. Angela will investigate the mechanisms of motor control and pattern generation in a multi-functional neuronal circuit in Drosophila. The proposed behavioural paradigm is wing motor control. She plans to find new circuit components involved in courtship song pattern generation and bi-functional wing motor control. She will utilise the split GAL4/UAS system, as well as confocal microscopy, behavioural experiments etc.
