New master student at DANDRITE

Sara Basse started as a master student in Magnus Kjærgaard and Poul Nissen’s groups per 1 August 2016. Sara will investigate which proteins interact with the C-terminal domain of the retinal protein, FRMD7. This will lead to a greater understanding of the molecular pathways involved in horizontal direction selectivity in retinal ganglion cells. This project is a collaboration with the group of Keisuke Yonehara. Furthermore, She will be working on crystallization of the Ca2+-occluded E2P conformation of LMCA1, which will contribute to greater insight into the kinetic transport cycle of the P-type ATPases.
