DANDRITE postdoc appointment

Alessia Arduin has been appointed a postdoc position in Group leader Poul Nissen's group, starting 1 May, 2014. She will be working towards understanding the function and regulation of the cation-chloride co-transporter NKCC1 by generating high-resolution structural information of NKCC1. In neurons, NKCC1 plays crucial roles in cell volume regulation and depolarization/polarization, and dysfunction of NKCC1 underlies a variety of neurological disorders. Alessia Arduin will be working together with Professor Robert Fenton's group at Aarhus University.
