Angela O'Sullivan receives travel grant

PhD student Angela O’Sullivan in Group Leader Anne von Philipsborn’s group has been awarded a 3 months travel grant from the Boehringer Ingelheim Fond. Angela will use the travel grant for a research visit at Caltech (The California Institute of Technology), United States, from February to May 2016, where she will stay in the laboratory of Professor Michael Dickinson. Angela will investigate the role of Drosophila flight muscles during courtship song and use newly developed vivo imaging techniques to visualize calcium activity in muscles of intact behaving animals.
